New Paintings

Good morning!

It was a busy weekend with some friends in town as well as my parents.  Now that the friends flew back home, I will have some time to get some painting done.  I have 2 paintings that I plan on completing this week.  I was able to get one finished last Thursday but haven't put up the picture yet.  Expect a couple pictures to be posted by the weekend!

FRIDAY!

Happy Friday!

It is beautiful in San Diego today and there are waves coming through this weekend so that is always good!

I am going to be getting a dog in June when I move to an apartment that allows for them but I do not know what kind to get.  I really like medium to full size dogs and have to get one that is fairly smart and would like an active dog.  Of course we will be rescuing it as well.   Any suggestions?  Maybe we (me and my girlfriend Kristin) will just keep going to the humane society until we find the one we want, but I want to have an idea of what kind of dog that would be and this will be my first one!  Let me know and have a great weekend!

Eagles v Chargers

Good morning!

My fellow Eagles fans and friends are flying into SD tonight and my parents get here on Saturday.  We all are going to watch the Eagles beat the Chargers on Sunday!

Should be a good game with both teams playing pretty well at this point in the season.  This will only be my second NFL game that I have ever attended.

Newest Painting, Invisible Children

Good morning!
This is a picture of my newest painting.  I will get a better photo of it and add it to my websited http://www.steglobal.net/ when I have time.
I hung out with my good friend Nate Henn who is working with Invisible Children which is a non-profit group.  Check out their website at http://www.invisiblechildren.com/home.php , they were able to launch a product line "for profit" and all proceeds will go to their cause.  Check it out to see what they are all about.

I don't hate Al Gore anymore!

Hey there!

I realized yesterday that I don't hate Al Gore anymore. I was reading an article about his new book and came to realize that I have a lot of the same ideas...well at least I am interested in implementing a lot of the same ideas that he has.

I don't necessarily believe that humans can change the climate of the earth which is his major concern, but I do believe that using renewable energy and each human working to waste less and make a cleaner natural environment will benefit everyone's immediate surroundings. This will make life better for everyone with cleaner air and more beauty in nature.

The earth is on a cycle in the universe which results in different patterns of temperature throughout time, which is why I believe that climate change may be currently happening. It is hard for me to believe that we can change the climate of the world, but I do believe that we can use energy in a more efficient way that makes life better for people and Mother Nature.

The biggest hurdle in this is getting people to shift their energy use and mindset about energy. With so much money invested by very rich people in the current energy sources it is hard for this to happen. We need end users and businesses to implement the changes NOW and not wait for governments to make regulations requiring this. If businesses start using this energy and making the infrastructure of our country using energy efficient buildings and transportation, the trend will set in for the long term.

Al Gore is ok, and it is up to us to make changes.

First Post

Good morning or afternoon if you are on the east coast.

I have just created this blog to share my ideas with all. I have had an interesting morning and have been thinking a lot about new technology which prompted me to start this blog. I tried to write a list of things that I am interested in and would like to share. So far it is short, but I will think of more to write about. I am an artist painting with oils on canvas, I love to travel, and I follow the stock market every day:

-Check out my website for my paintings at www.steglobal.net
-I follow the stock market every day and am interested in "green" companies especially solar energy and electric cars. I use yahoo finance to check market activity and quotes but will be opening an account shortly with an online broker and will use that for research.
-I went to Europe for 6 weeks last summer and now am planning trips for every year to experience new places and people. I will be going to Bulgaria this April to visit my room mate from college Nikola and stopping in Dublin, Rome, and Athens as well.

Please feel free to comment on any topic but especially the ones I have mentioned. I will add more later and hope to write every couple of days.

Have a great day!
